5 Best Outdoor Adventure Channels on YouTube

Youtube Outdoor Adventure Channels

Ever since the TV show Survivorman first aired there has been a demand for bushcraft/survivalist/outdoors content on television and with most types of programming, you can now find similar content on YouTube.

Some of the YouTuber’s creating outdoor attempt to mimic the overly dramatic reality TV style, while others present their material in a way that is more too the point and realistic. Personally, I prefer the more down to earth style but everyone has different tastes.

Here are my top 5 Youtube creators for outdoor content, in no particular order:

My Self Reliance

Many of us fantasize about getting away from all the stresses of modern life and living in the mountains. On the My Self Reliance YouTube channel you can watch a guy do just that. The creator quit his job then proceeded to build a cabin and live in the Canadian wilderness for 2 years.

Joe Robinet

This Youtube creator puts out a wide variety of outdoor adventure related content. Primarily it focuses on camping, hunting/fishing, and wilderness survival. My favorite video he put out is one were he stayed out in the Canadian wilderness for 10 days with minimal gear like a real version of one of those TV survival shows.

Sintax77

I know I said this list wasn’t in any particular order, but this Youtube channel is probably my favorite. It’s just a regular down to earth guy going on hiking trips on some of the best trails on the eastern side of America (along with a few other parts of the US and abroad).

TheOutdoorGearReview

This channel is a little different than the others; it isn’t necessarily an adventure channel. Their focus is primarily on gear review, military surplus, and on occasion some light camping.

However, it stands out because the husband and wife featured on the channel are down to earth and inspire people to get outside.

TA Outdoors

If you want to watch / listen to some outdoors ASMR this is the channel for you. It’s just a guy doing bushcraft in the British woodlands with minimal talking. Very chill and sometimes interesting, with the occasional wholesome interaction between a father and son.
